OARKS

I'm not really a huge WoW guy but those new cinematics Blizzard put out with Laurel Austin's paintings look so good. After watching them I couldn't help but take a break from the storyboarding to do this.

Dungeon Defenders 2 Weapons

One of the earliest pieces I did for Dungeon Defenders 2! This was used to articulate the differences between the weapon tiers in the early days, it was really important to me that players be able to look at each other’s weapons and instantly have an idea of how powerful it was

Procreate!

I've been trying to get the hang of procreate on the ipad.  I still feel a little clumsy using it and I'm not totally sure why, but I think I just need to tweak the pressure settings to get it right for me

Morning warm up

Warm up doodle of what is now my favorite character to draw

Tuesday, April 19, 2016

All the Scarlett Johansson stuff just made me really want to draw the Major.  I kinda had Blade Runner and MGSV on the brain so I think some of that leaked into the painting in the form of ridiculous lens flares and haze.

This was an experiment to see how quickly/easily I could re-paint the same asset under different lighting conditions for an isometric game idea I was playing with.  I love playing with experiments like this and realized I've been doing a ton of work and not showing any of it!
